Mohair is not just mohair..... mohair is hair and not wool. Therefore, the shorter the hairs are the more it itches - just like if we had a very short haircut. Economically, producers get more out of shearing the goats frequently and thus get more yarn out of it than letting them grow long. The longer the hairs are, the more they lie flat against our skin and therefore itch less. It is not recommended for allergy sufferers and therefore it has a category C, but if you are "just" sensitive, I would recommend trying this, as it really is different. This luxury mohair runs only 350m per 50g. It becomes very thick if you knit with two strands. Therefore, for example PetiteKnits' "Kumulus sweater" would be fine with just one strand of this mohair.
