Mohair is not just mohair..... mohair is hair and not wool. Therefore, the shorter the hairs are, the more it will itch—just like if we were crew-cut. Economically, producers get more by shearing the goats often and thus obtain more yarn than by letting them grow long hair. The longer the hairs are, the more they lie flat against our skin and itch less. It is not recommended for allergy sufferers and therefore has a category C, but if you are "just" sensitive, I would still recommend trying this, as it really is different. This luxury mohair yields only 350m per 50g. It becomes very bulky if you knit with two strands. Therefore, for example, PetiteKnits' "Kumulus sweater" would be fine with just a single strand of this mohair.
