Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink die! The fibres are very soft but very short, which is why it is often spun together with other fibres so you can knit with it without the yarn breaking. It can be knitted with a single strand to make a lovely shawl or with two strands to make a cosy sweater.
